October 25, 2007 - 7:37pm - South Command - "A" Shift
A car ignited behind this 3br vacant rooming house and flames quickly
involved a wooden carport overhead, which directed them into the
building itself. Arriving crews were met with an intense fire
engulfing all three floor and this soon vented through the roof. A
structural collapse soon followed as A.312 and several big lines were
brought to bear on the inferno. The roof and upper floors were
destroyed and an emergency demolition soon followed, flames also
damaged similar, occupied buildings on each side. Total loss exceeds
$700,000, arson was the cause. © GTMAA Trumpet
