The third major blaze in as many days broke out behind a pair of 2-storey frame attached houses in East York. The outside rear walls of both buildings were completely involved and flames quickly extended down the block. Two additional houses became involved and a dozen lines were deployed in an effort to contain things. The fire persisted in the row and eventually broke through the roof, requiring A322's ladder pipe. Hot weather complicated matters, as did the closeness of the buildings. All four dwellings received heavy damage; the OFM has been called in to investigate.
