March 30, 2010 - 2nd Alarm - 282 Guildwood Parkway
March 30, 2010 - 5:30pm - East Command - "A" Shift
East end crews encountered a well established fire in the basement of this 2-storey brick residence and went in with two lines. Flames were knocked down in that area but soon travelled up the walls. Controlling the blaze above was complicated by soft areas in the floor, and extension upstairs. Another line was needed as firefighters rapidly pulled walls and ceilings in a successful effort to prevent involvement of the roof. The house received $250,000 in damage, and the cause is under investigation.
