Heavy fire pushing across the entire width of the double verandah greeted Station 426 crews as they converged on this 2.5 storey brick semi. Flames gutted the ground floor and spread upstairs, also leaving considerable damage to the other half at exposure #2. Six lines were deployed and a lot of opening up remained when the blaze was quelled. The cause of the $300,000 outbreak is being investigated.
