October 29, 2010 - 11:21pm - South Command - "A" Shift
A loud bang preceded this rapidly spreading fire on the front porch of a two storey frame semi, and the blaze had entered the first floor and engulfed both sides of the porch when crews from Stations 323 and 224 pulled up. Lines were quickly stretched to contain the blaze and protect exposures: six were eventually used. The fire extended through voids to the upper floor and roof space on both sides, and the ground floor of the building was destroyed. Arson has been confirmed in the $400,000 incident.
