February 20, 2011 - 5:51pm - North Command - "A" Shift
Firefighters arrived at this Don Mills high-rise to find smoke coming from the eighth floor. First in crews investigated, and found fire in an apartment with an elderly occupant suffering from smoke inhalation, as well as a 7 year old girl with first and second degree burns. The fire was quickly knocked down, and the victims transported to hospital by EMS. A candle is believed to be the cause.
