November 10, 2011 - 1:28am - East Command - "B" Shift
A working fire response was requested enroute to a single family dwelling on Marilake Dr. as first due companies spotted the loom-up from several blocks away. Upon arrival, a second alarm was requested and heavy fire in both doorways prevented crews from making entry. A defensive position was taken up, and initial reports indicated four occupants trapped inside. As crews began to attack the well involved house, it was discovered that the occupants had managed to escape to the backyard. Altogether, P244 and R243 supplied 6 lines to control the blaze, including two operating from the roof of the neighbouring house downwind on the east side.
