September 24, 2011 - 2nd Alarm - 153 Weston Rd.
September 24, 2011 - 12:27am - West Command - "D" Shift
West end crews arrived to a fully involved shed in a lumber yard on Weston Rd. and immediately requested a 2nd alarm. Several big lines were put into operation, and with a scarcity of hydrants in the immediate area, relay pumping was required from multiple sources. With hydro lines immediately above the fire, A423's aerial tower was unable to be put in operation, however it wasn't too long before crews got the upper hand and knocked down the bulk of the flame. Foam pumpers P343 and P445 were required to put out hot spots.
